What is SIDFEST?
Well SIDFEST was thought up one science lesson back at school! Originally it was meant to just be a random gathering at my house during the summer! As the lesson progressed ideas got larger, the gathering grew to party, the party grew to festival, the festival meant outside, outside meant in my field, and, as it was a festival, it meant loud music and sleeping in tents!. So after a double lesson the original gathering was now going to be a festival style party in my field with loud music and sleeping in tents! Only problem was it had no name, my friend Gareth suitably came up with the highly original, totally not ripped from OzFest, SIDFEST!.

And now here we are a big party in a field with DJ's and Bands all spread over the course of one night. The idea behind it - Have fun and listen to good music.

Where is SIDFEST held?
In a field in somewhere near Chichester, West Sussex

So when is SIDFEST?
When? It's a good question! The first one was in the last week of August, not through planning but down to laziness! In the following years it has been decided to keep to July so to ensure or at least try to ensure decent weather.

So who comes to SIDFEST?
Any one who is up for fun, open minded, friendly and overal enjoys listening to music.

Is SIDFEST a registered event organized or endorsed by West Sussex County Council?
In a word NO! Sidfest despite the name is a large private party which has slowly grown each year. Ideally with the right funding and enthusiasm and legislation this may one day become a Proper Festival.

Ok, are there any A B or C list celebrities in attendance, or failing that, minor celebrities, such as former Big brother contestants, or that awful Tara Palmer Tomkinthingy?
I'm afraid not, SIDFEST does not rely on the attendance of big name bands and celebrities to create a great "Festival", we use local talent, CDS, Vinyl and the attendance of fun loving party goers to create an amazing party(Festival) atmosphere!
